Freeway Heart Attack Victim Identified
Police on Friday identified a Newbury Park man who suffered a fatal heart attack while driving on the Ventura Freeway as Larry T. Myers.
Myers, 54, was driving north on the freeway just south of the Westlake Boulevard ramp when his car drifted toward the median and hit the center divider, according to investigators with the California Highway Patrol. The accident happened about 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
Myers, who was driving alone in his 1988 Hyundai, died of a heart attack and not from the accident, coroner’s officials said. There were no other injuries, officials said.
