San Fernando Town Hall Meeting

Share

The City of San Fernando plans a town hall meeting to discuss city services and proposed improvements, and to air concerns that residents may have about their communities.

Several items have been placed on the agenda for the Jan. 24 meeting, including discussion of the Four Corners Pipeline, a crude-oil conduit that runs beneath the city. The line has been shut since the 1994 Northridge earthquake, when it ruptured in several places, including near O’Melveny elementary school.

The Public Works Department will discuss graffiti-removal programs, and the Planning Department will discuss a proposed ordinance that would prohibit parking automobiles on front lawns.

In addition, city officials will share tips on how to “weatherize” homes to lower utility bills during the winter.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at O’Melveny School, 728 Woodworth St., San Fernando. For information, call the Recreation and Community Services Department at (818) 898-1290.
