Holiday Closings
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following schedule will be observed:
* Federal, county and some city offices will be closed. However, city offices in Buena Park, Brea, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, La Habra, La Palma, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Orange, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park, Westminster and Yorba Linda will be open.
* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.
* Most city and county libraries will be closed. The Newport Beach Public Library will be open.
* Banks and savings and loans will be closed.
* Schools: There will be no classes, and school offices, including those at colleges and universities, will be closed.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery. All post offices will be closed. Letters deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: Collections will proceed as regularly scheduled.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on regular schedule.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
