COP CLASSES: Officials at the county Sheriff’s Academy thought they were ready to offer their classes to Ventura College students (B1). They even had their course list in the college’s spring catalog. . . . But the proposal has run into snags, mostly over whether instructors would work for the sheriff or the community college district. “Unfortunately, the Board of Trustees was not in favor of the contract we came up with,” said Lt.
