Share

In response to a recent string of rapes and sexual assaults in the area, a rape counselor will give residents in the Granada Hills region some tips on how to avoid such incidents.

Officers from the Devonshire Division will bring in Mary Beth Roden, assistant director of the Rape Treatment Center at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital, to talk to residents at their monthly Neighborhood Watch meeting Thursday in Granada Hills.

Senior lead officer Rick Gibby said, “There were a couple of incidents in the last few months” that accelerated plans to discuss rape at the meeting.
