Fullerton Stops Losing Streak Against Lancers

Fullerton defeated Sunny Hills in boys’ soccer for the first time in 10 years, posting a 1-0 victory in a Freeway League game at Fullerton High Friday.

Jorge Diaz scored off an assist from Alejandro Rodriguez eight minutes into the game for Fullerton (7-9-1, 4-0-1 in league play). Sunny Hills (10-5-4, 4-1-0) is ranked 10th in Division IV.

Buena Park 3, Sonora 3 (OT)--Jason Bollin scored the tying goal with three minutes remaining in regulation for Sonora (4-9-3, 0-4-1). Buena Park (11-4-1, 2-2-1) is ranked seventh in Division IV.

Canyon 2, Foothill 0--Jeffrey Pioch and Carlo Cortez each scored for Canyon (11-7, 3-2).

Orange 3, El Modena 1--Eric Dela Cruz, Victory Diaz and Genar Lopez scored for Orange (12-3-3, 4-0-1).

Santa Ana Valley 6, Villa Park 0--Sophomore Miguel Leal had a goal and three assists for host Santa Ana Valley (13-4-2, 3-1-1).

Orange Lutheran 1, Ontario Christian 1--Matt Stiles scored his 22nd goal five minutes into the game for host Orange Lutheran (12-3-4, 3-1-1).
