Playa Vista
Re “New Suit Seeks to Block Plan for Playa Vista,” Jan. 9:
The only thing that the California Environmental Quality Act requires the city and its developer constituents to do is prepare a document which fully and fairly addresses the impacts to the physical environment likely to result from proposed developments. That is all the Playa Vista suit is attempting to accomplish.
Instead, the Playa Vista project proponents produced an environmental analysis which includes the ludicrous and patently ridiculous conclusion that the new movie studio and related enterprises, which will create thousands of additional automobile trips daily, will have no adverse traffic impact upon the already crowded streets in the Westside. Give me a break!
