Car Crash Kills Trabuco Canyon Woman
A Trabuco Canyon woman was killed in an accident Thursday in which her car and another collided at a major intersection after one of them ran a red light, police said.
Tracy Van Dinter, 27, was driving on Magnolia Street near Talbert Avenue about 8:20 p.m. when the accident occurred, police said. Officers said they were not sure which car ran the red light.
A driver unloading fuel from his tanker truck at a gas station near the accident said he saw the collision.
“Basically I was just standing here loading,” said driver Joe Colacchio, 47. “The car was coming toward [my] truck. I shut the valve off. The car came right up the driveway and landed three feet from the truck.”
Van Dinter was taken to Humana Hospital in Huntington Beach where she died shortly after arrival, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and no citations were issued.
