PJ Harvey has just finished filming a video with Nick Cave for “Henry Lee,” a duet from Cave’s upcoming “Murder Ballads” album. . . . Bush has been invited by New Orleans’ Krewe of Aquila to lead its Mardi Gras parade--a first for a rock band. The event is Feb. 15, with Bush scheduled for a concert in the Big Easy the next day. The band will start its second album, possibly with producer Steve Albini, after finishing its winter tour. . . .

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville label has signed gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson for a spoken-word album with musical background and production by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member Jimmy Ibbotson, who happens to be Thompson’s Aspen neighbor. Jack Nicholson is expected to make a guest appearance. . . .

Seattle band Screaming Trees is working on its first album in three years, with producer George Drakoulias. . . . Jackson Browne makes a guest appearance on Lyle Lovett’s next album, due in May.
