Company Town : Universal Taps Ex-TriStar VP

Universal Pictures said it hired former TriStar executive Kevin Misher as executive vice president of production.

Misher’s appointment had been expected. He will develop and supervise feature film projects at the studio. At TriStar, Misher had been senior vice president of production since 1993, supervising production on such films as “It Could Happen to You” and “Rudy.”

* Kelly Kahl has been appointed vice president of scheduling at CBS Entertainment.

* Andrew J. Mandell has been named vice president of operations planning at Walt Disney Co.

* Fred T. Gallo has been promoted to executive vice president of feature production management at Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group.

* Winifred B. Wechsler has been named by Disney Online to senior vice president for Disney.com, Walt Disney Co.’s primary presence on the Internet.

* Keri Lyn Selig has been appointed vice president of Cort/Madden Co.

* Alan Cohen has been named to the newly created position of executive vice president for marketing at ABC Television Network.

* Brent Jack has been named director of international marketing for Rysher Entertainment. Gwen Gale was named director of international finance.

* At Sony Signatures Licensing, Madelyn Hammond has been named vice president of marketing, Christopher Wagner has been named creative director and Audrey Blenden has been appointed senior manager of retail business development.

* Nina Anderson and Alan Lobel have been promoted to vice president of media operations and vice president of creative print services, respectively, for Buena Vista Pictures Marketing.
