Summer Lifeguard Applicants Sought
Surf City is seeking young men and women to be lifeguards at city beaches this summer.
Starting hourly pay is $10.47, and applicants must take an exam March 10.
They must participate in 1,000-yard and 500-yard ocean swims and a combination run-swim-run exercise totaling 1,000 yards. All of the events will take place near the municipal pier.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old by June 1, have at least 20/40 uncorrected vision and be in good health.
