Yacht Club to Launch 27th Sailing Season
The Westlake Yacht Club will launch its 27th sailing season Sunday with its 1996 mid-winter warmup regatta on Westlake Lake.
Three races are scheduled, weather and wind permitting. The white flag will be hoisted at 12:30 p.m, or when wind conditions allow.
All classes of boats and all members of sailing clubs affiliated with the Southern California Yachting Assn. have been invited to participate, and spectators are welcome.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with a skippers’ meeting at noon. Each entry costs $5. For information, call the Westlake Yacht Club at (818) 889-4820.
