City Acts to Create Monthly Street Fair
Downtown’s Forest Avenue will be closed one Wednesday per month for a street festival that will include entertainment, food booths and special shop and gallery promotions.
The City Council this week approved the closure of the avenue, between Pacific Coast Highway and Glenneyre Street, for the first “Goodnight Laguna” fair on Feb. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Festival coordinator Janelle Elms, of Marcus Animation Gallery, has worked with downtown merchants and the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce for six months developing the idea.
Proceeds from the “Goodnight Laguna” festivals will benefit local charities.
