A 32-year-old mother of four was killed early Monday after the car she was driving outside Camarillo drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.

Guillermina Sanchez-Orozco of Moorpark died at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 6:30 a.m. Monday, the CHP said.

“She was driving southbound on Lewis Road in a line of traffic,” CHP dispatcher Bob Inman said.

“As they came around a right-hand curve in the roadway, for unknown reasons she drifted across the yellow line and into the northbound lane,” he said.

The head-on crash occurred near the intersection of Lewis and Cawelti roads, just north of Camarillo State Hospital.

Richard L. Stover, 34, of Ventura, who was driving the other car, suffered minor injuries and was treated at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo before being released.

Deputy Coroner Jim Wingate said Sanchez-Orozco was the mother of four children.
