Police arrested four people on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine in a raid at a hotel room, authorities said Wednesday.

Placentia police joined three other law enforcement agencies about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to serve a search warrant at the Residence Inn in the 700 block of Kimberly Avenue and found methamphetamine and chemicals used to make the drug, also known as crank and speed, Police Lt. Chuck Babcock said.

Investigators found five people in the room.

Another, Timothy Peterson, 31, of Brea, fled in a car and led officers on a brief chase southbound on the Orange Freeway before being arrested, police said.

Two of the six people taken into custody were later released because of insufficient evidence to tie them to a conspiracy to manufacture illegal drugs, Babcock said.

No one was injured, police said.

Arrested were: Lisa Gregg, 32, of Anaheim; Kelly Babbs, 33, of Corona; Greg Hallahan, 27, of Fullerton; and Peterson.

They were being held at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture narcotics, and conspiracy to manufacture narcotics.

Orange County’s Hazardous Materials unit, the Orange County Fire Authority and the state’s Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement assisted in the raid.
