City OK Sought for Drive-Through Lane
Owners of a new Boston Market restaurant at the Simi Valley Plaza have asked the city for permission to add a drive-through lane.
The 10-foot-wide lane would wind around the west side of the restaurant in an area now filled with landscaping.
The lane was not part of the original restaurant design approved by the city last April.
Since drive-through lanes require special-use permits from the city, the restaurant owners feared that including a lane in the original plans would slow the approval process, developer Richard McDuff told members of Neighborhood Council No. 2 during a January meeting.
City planners have recommended approval of the addition.
