Daniels Scores From Long Distance to Lead Fremont

Eian Daniels scored 30 points, 21 of them on seven three-point baskets in the first half, to lead top-seeded Fremont to a 96-73 victory over Washington in a 4-A quarterfinal game on Wednesday night at Fremont.

Donnie Wilcher added 19 points for Fremont (25-3), which held a 51-32 first-half lead and was never threatened.

Crenshaw 92, Carson 89--Alastair Faux scored 31 points and Kevin Bradley and Allison Carter added 15 points each for second-seeded Crenshaw (23-5), which made its free throws down the stretch to hold on against Carson, which got 20 points from Mike Lewis in the Division 4-A game.

Palisades 75, Locke 59--Johannes Burge scored 21 points and Kyle Shumway added 15 points and eight rebounds for third-seeded Palisades (24-2), which broke a 34-34 halftime tie to win in Division 4-A.

Van Nuys 84, El Camino Real 83--The Wolves (15-9), top-seeded in Division 3-A, got a rebound basket by Onaje Longmire with 15 seconds to play in the second overtime to advance in a quarterfinal game.

Narbonne 74, Franklin 65--Emari O’Garrow scored 18 points to lead Narbonne (12-12) to a victory in Division 3-A.

Canoga Park 86, Granada Hills 77--Carloes Harper scored 41 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Canoga Park (20-4), which took an 8-2 lead and held on in a Division 3-A quarterfinal victory over Granada Hills.
