Pair Arrested in Motel Slaying
A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of beating and stabbing to death a 39-year-old resident of a North Hollywood motel, police said Thursday.
Nina Wiley, 33, and Erick Stewart, 23, who both lived in the area, were arrested Wednesday evening and were being held at the Van Nuys jail, said Det. Mike Coffey of the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood station.
Last week, Albert Peter Fleeman, 39, was found next to his bed at the Western Village Hotel in the 10000 block of Magnolia Boulevard, where he had lived alone for the last two years, police said.
“We believe the motive was robbery,” Coffey said.
