To the younger people who voted for Republicans who promised to cut entitlements and get the government off our backs, you may be getting what you voted for. Unencumbered by government regulations, and spared the humiliation of entitlement handouts, your elderly parents will have the privilege of using up their savings to pay for medical expenses and nursing home care. This is called self- sufficiency. When your parents have spent your inheritance, you will have the privilege of paying for their upkeep. This is called family values. Congratulations, and welcome to the 19th century.
