All 14 players for Pacific scored, including four in double figures, as the Tigers routed Cal State Fullerton, 87-63, Thursday night to clinch a spot in the Big West tournament.

Tim Nordahl’s 12 points led Pacific, 14-11 overall and 10-7 in Big West play. Rayne Mahaffey had 11 and Adam Jacobsen and Corey Anders each scored 10 in Pacific’s seventh victory in eight games. The victory assured Pacific of a fourth consecutive winning season.

Chuck Overton scored 21 points and Brian Thomas had 18 for Fullerton (6-19, 5-12), which has already been eliminated from the tournament, scheduled for March 8-10 in Reno. In a change of format this season, only the top six teams in the 10-team league will advance to the tournament.

Up by 10 at the break, Pacific extended its lead to 46-28 by starting the second half with an 8-0 run that included consecutive three-pointers by Charles Jones and Corey Anders.

The Titans managed to get back within 46-33 after Thomas converted the team’s first three-point basket of the game. But Pacific put together another flurry, outscoring the Titans 17-2 in a six-minute stretch and going up 63-35 with 10:23 left.

At that point, Pacific Coach Bob Thomason took out his starters and put in the reserves as the Tigers cruised to their seventh consecutive victory over Fullerton in Stockton.

Fullerton, which has lost nine of its last 10 games, shot 34% in the first half and missed all nine of its attempts from three-point range to fall behind, 38-28, at intermission.
