Candidate Nader

Share

Re B. Meredith Burke’s “Wanted: Leaders to Say ‘Enough,’ ” (Commentary, Feb. 15), i.e., the long-term party: In December 1994, after a Republican majority was achieved in Congress, I left the Democratic Party for the Peace and Freedom Party. Last summer, to aid Ross Perot in the Reform Party petition for inclusion into the party system, I reregistered for one week in that party and then left to return to Peace and Freedom, mission accomplished. When I heard Ralph Nader would run for president as a Green Party candidate, I again reregistered.

The Greens are the “long-term” party and Nader is a candidate who will not be bought. Why isn’t the media covering his earnest candidacy?
