A woman was killed by a Southern Pacific train Monday in an apparent suicide in Pomona, a Police Department spokesman said.
“It appears that she walked in front of the train,” said Lt. Larry Todd of the Pomona Police Department.
The 32-year-old Pomona resident was struck shortly before 6 a.m. in the 100 block of Main Street, he said. The woman’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
