SEAL BEACH — Police arrested a 21-year-old man Thursday on suspicion of killing a Huntington Beach man whose body was found burning last Sunday in Seal Beach, authorities said.
Thanh Van Quang, whose residence was unclear late Thursday, was arrested at a Huntington Beach home by police armed with a search warrant, said Seal Beach police dispatcher Josh Goldmark.
Quang was booked in the slaying of Michael Vu, 23, but police did not say why they suspect him.
A resident in the College Park East neighborhood saw flames across the street in Aster Park at 6:30 a.m. that day and discovered the smoldering body after she hosed down the fire.
The victim was half-clothed and had no identification.
Witnesses said a dark-colored Toyota pickup truck, raised from the ground with heavy-duty suspension and big tires, was seen leaving the area Sunday morning.
