Bright Idea Gets the Green Light
A lighting program to brighten downtown Fullerton has been approved by the City Council.
The program includes upgrading lights with brighter ones and adding lights along the dark sidewalks on Harbor Boulevard and the outside of the Wilshire parking garage. It also encourages businesses to install exterior lights.
The council voted unanimously last week for the $238,000 program.
In other action, the council postponed a decision on a downtown sign program until next month.
“Welcome to Downtown Fullerton” signs, public parking and directional signs, murals and information kiosks are included in the proposal.
