South Bay : Visitor Center Teaches the Value of Recycling Water
The West Basin Municipal Water District opened a visitor center at its El Segundo water recycling facility Friday, and nearly 60 youngsters from Eastmont Intermediate School in Montebello were on hand to test the center’s interactive exhibits.
The center was opened to educate the public about the benefits of recycling water. Features include a California map detailing where water comes from, interactive water-treatment video games.
The Center is at 1935 Hughes Way and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
