Whitewing Labs’ Loss Shrinks in 4th Quarter

Whitewing Labs Inc., a Mission Hills maker of nutritional supplements, said it narrowed its loss in the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31 to $19,354 from $144,666 in the year-ago period.

Revenues more than quadrupled to $1.18 million from $275,795.

For the year, the company posted a profit of $20,695 compared to a loss of $284,000 in 1994. Revenues for the year were $3.47 million, up more than seven times from $455,359 a year earlier.

Whitewing’s 1995 sales surged as it expanded its product line from one to 21. The loss in the fourth quarter was due to nonrecurring auditing adjustments, the company said.
