From Times Wire Reports

President Nelson Mandela said at a divorce hearing that his estranged wife, Winnie, turned him into the loneliest man and humiliated him publicly with her brazen conduct and infidelity. Winnie Mandela had suggested that a tribal elder act as a last-ditch marriage counselor, but a sad-looking Mandela said: “If the entire universe persuaded me to reconcile with the defendant, I would not.” Mandela, 77, told the Rand Supreme Court in Johannesburg that he was saddened to have to wash his dirty linen in public.
