Clinton Address to Return: President Clinton’s Saturday morning radio address is returning to the local airwaves. Starting this weekend, the broadcasts will be heard weekly at 10:03 a.m. on KNNS-AM (1260) and KNNZ-AM (540), followed by the Republican rebuttal at 11:03 a.m. Clinton’s address has not been heard in the Southland since KUSC-FM (91.5) dropped it in January in favor of new syndicated programming.

Chung Ready for Work: Industry observers who thought Connie Chung would never work at a broadcast network again after her disastrous pairing with Dan Rather had better revise their predictions. Chung’s CBS contract ends this month, and according to sources, all four broadcast networks are expressing interest in her. Chung, who adopted a baby boy with her husband, talk-show host Maury Povich, has technically been on maternity leave since she was removed from co-anchoring the “CBS Evening News” last May. CBS has been paying her the remainder of her $2-million contract since that time. In an interview with The Times, Chung declined to say to whom she’s talking. But she said, “I’m ready to reenter the work force. It’s time.”
