Reseda Man Shot to Death Outside His Home
A 24-year-old metal worker was shot to death early Saturday as he returned home from work.
Cu Duong was found sprawled in the street outside his house in the 19100 block of Friar Street after neighbors reported hearing gunfire, police said. He had been shot repeatedly in the head with a semiautomatic pistol, they said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no witnesses or suspects in the shooting, but robbery has been ruled out as a motive, according to police.
Duong, described by neighbors as a quiet man who had lived in his home for about 15 years, arrived regularly from his job at a Sylmar machine shop around 12:30 a.m., police said.
