The March of Dimes needs volunteers for its WalkAmerica at Griffith Park on April 27. For the event, the organization is also looking for people who were born prematurely and helped by neonatal intensive care units or other treatments made possible by the March of Dimes. These people will be part of a Preemie Walk, and will be asked to tell their stories during the event. For more information, call Shelley Hutsler or Jodi Blum at (818) 972-9449.

WISE Senior Services is seeking volunteers to be trained as ombudsmen for long-term-care residents and their families in Los Angeles County. The free training begins April 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Angeles Plaza Senior Activity Center in downtown Los Angeles. Six more meetings will follow. Millerwood Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Burbank needs volunteers to walk dogs rescued from abuse and abandonment. For more information, call (818) 845-5452.
