CHOC Seeks Regular Blood Donors for Two
Children’s Hospital of Orange County is seeking people with certain blood types to help two patients with serious diseases.
One 21-year-old male patient has sickle cell anemia and the other, a 14-year-old girl, has the blood disorder called thalassemia. Both need numerous transfusions on a monthly basis.
Donors must be in good health, between the ages of 17 and 66 and have blood types AB positive or negative, or A positive or negative.
The donor would be asked to contribute blood three to six times a year, hospital officials said.
Information: (714) 532-8339.
