Brinks Driver Injured in Attack on Truck : Attempted Robbery
A Brinks guard was injured by broken windshield glass when gunmen fired shots from a van at the armored truck, shattering the truck’s windshield. The burned-out van was found a few blocks away.
How it happened:
1) Brinks truck is traveling northbound on Fallbrook Avenue. Truck is fired upon near intersection of Fallbrook and Berdon Street. Windshield is shattered.
2) Truck crosses sidewalk and empty lot on northeast corner of Fallbrook and Berdon.
3) Brinks truck ends up on Fallbrook Avenue, southbound, at corner of Fallbrook and Ostronic Drive.
4) Van is found burned in alley between Burbank Boulevard and Philiprimm Street, off Capistrano Avenue.
