Christopher Reeve has been signed by Warner Bros. to provide the voice for the character King Arthur in the animated feature, “The Quest for Camelot,” the studio announced Monday. The film is set for late 1997 release. . . . Canadian-based rock group Cowboy Junkies will do a 30-minute set and sign CDs in the Tower Records Sunset store, 8844 Sunset Blvd., at 11 p.m. tonight to mark the release of their sixth album, “Lay It Down” (Geffen Records). . . . Bill Moyers returns to NBC following a medical leave to host a special report on the first anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. The report airs at 9 p.m. April 12, a week before the anniversary, on “Dateline NBC.” . . . Singer-composer Tom Waits won another legal battle when the state Court of Appeal in Los Angeles upheld his claim that his former music publisher, Third Story Music, allowed his songs to be used in two commercials without his permission. The appellate court ruled that Waits is entitled to nearly $89,000 from the commercials. Waits won a $2.5-million suit against Frito-Lay and its advertising agency in 1988 over radio commercials that mimicked his voice. . . . The artist formerly known as Prince will soon be joined by a small person known as baby. The pop star and his wife, Mayte, who married on Valentine’s Day, are expecting their first child in November, his publicist announced. . . . Musician, theatrical agency and dance executive Joyce Aimee takes over as president of the Los Angeles County Music and Performing Arts Commission at a luncheon in the Music Center on Monday.
