Autopsy: McSherry Had Bad Heart
Umpire John McSherry died of severe heart disease, including an irregular heartbeat, the Hamilton County coroner’s office ruled Tuesday.
An autopsy found that McSherry, 51, had an enlarged heart and a severely blocked right coronary artery.
“Mr. McSherry appears to have suffered from a degree of congestive heart failure as well,” Dr. Carl L. Parrott Jr. said.
A wake will be held at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., today and Thursday. The funeral Mass will be Friday at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in the Bronx.
