SUNRISE SERVICES: Tens of thousands of Christians in the San Fernando Valley area will be celebrating Easter at sunrise services on Sunday. Following is a sampling of the services planned:

* Burbank Church of Religious Science at 6:30 a.m. in the Crystal Springs picnic area of Griffith Park, (818) 848-4158.

* Canyon Meadows Conference Center at 6:30 a.m. in its outdoor amphitheater at 41600 Lake Hughes Road, Lake Hughes. A breakfast is planned for 8 a.m., costing $4.75 for adults, $3.75 for children ages 5 to 11 and $2 for children under 4. Required reservations for the breakfast can be made by calling (805) 724-1225.

* Rosamond Ministerial Assn. at 6:30 a.m. on the hill behind the Albertson’s market at 2547 Rosamond Blvd., (805) 256-2244.

* A Spanish language service by Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale at 6 a.m. at 1712 S. Glendale Ave., (800) 204-3131.

MORMON CONFERENCE: Local viewers can watch a live telecast of the 166th Annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Salt Lake City on TCI, cable Channel 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. today and Sunday.

ANYTHING GOES: Cole Porter’s musical “Anything Goes” will open tonight at Valley Beth Shalom, 15739 Ventura Blvd., Encino. Performances are scheduled for 8 tonight, 2 p.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. April 13 and 7:30 p.m. April 14. Reserved tickets are $18, general admission is $12.50 and senior citizens and students are $8 each. MacARTHUR TALK: Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley will speak Thursday night at the Cal State Northridge Student Union to a student group affiliated with his nondenominational congregation. FIDDLER: The 36-member cast of the Shomrei Torah Stacey Cane Youth Theatre will perform “Fiddler on the Roof” this month. JEWISH PHILANTHROPY: Encino resident Mark Lainer has been reelected to the Jewish Community Foundation Board of Trustees. Established in 1954, the organization is the largest central clearinghouse of Jewish philanthropy in Southern California. Lainer, a partner in Lainer Investments of Van Nuys, will serve as vice president for project development.
