Volunteers Planning to Clean Up Beach
Volunteers will scour Ventura’s shoreline today during a beach cleanup sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation.
The spring cleaning is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Surfers Point at the foot of Figueroa Street near the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Volunteers will receive a free parking pass for the large parking lot near the point.
Gloves are recommended, and light refreshments will be provided.
The cleanup is one of four the group of environmentally conscious surfers plans to conduct at popular surfing spots in Ventura during the spring and summer.
