Girl, 4, Dies After Being Hit by Car
A 4-year-old girl who was struck by a car Saturday has died from her injuries, police said Sunday.
Ximenia Castillo, her mother and a group of adults and children were walking along the 800 block of North Loara Street in Anaheim about 6 p.m. Saturday. As the group waited to cross the street, Ximenia broke from her mother’s grasp, ran across the street and was struck by a car traveling 15 to 20 mph, according to police.
The 17-year-old driver was not cited in the accident, according to police.
Ximenia was unconscious by the time paramedics arrived and was admitted to Anaheim Memorial Hospital. She died at 11:35 p.m. from massive head injuries.
Police would not identify the driver.
