Share

Filling upcoming vacancies on four city commissions is among topics on the agenda for tonight’s City Council session.

Effective July 1, eight positions will be open as terms expire for members of the council-appointed Planning Commission, Cultural Arts Commission, Recreation and Parks Commission, and Traffic Safety Commission.

A teen position will also be open on the city’s traffic safety panel.

City staff members are recommending that the council accept applications for the open seats through June 7, interview the candidates, then make the appointments June 18.

* The announcement of the next honoree in the city Employee Recognition Program. Four municipal employees are selected for the award each year.

The council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave. Information: (714) 993-8117.
