JETHAWKS REPORT : Head of Class Won’t Be Moving
With so many JetHawks off to good starts, the obvious question is: Do some of these players belong in double A?
The man to answer that question, Larry Beinfest, director of player development for the Seattle Mariners, just happens to be in Lancaster for five games.
“I think all the people who are here are here because it’s appropriate,” Beinfest said. “A little confidence and success [at Class A] can go a long way in these guys’ careers.”
Beinfest said around midseason will be time to look for possible promotions.
“Guys will have the opportunity to play double A,” he said. “There are certainly some double A- and higher-caliber players here.”

Shortstop Luis Molina, who hasn’t played since April 8 because of a sore back, took ground balls for the first time since in a week. Molina might take batting practice today, said trainer Rob Nodine.
