A beefy and bearded bandit wearing a flannel shirt and dark sunglasses robbed the Simi Valley branch of Coast Federal Bank on Friday, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI reported.

Authorities said no one was injured in the heist, which marks the 15th bank robbery in Ventura County this year.

The robber, described as a white male weighing between 210 and 250 pounds, entered the branch at 1301 Los Angeles Ave. at about 12:25 p.m. The 6-foot-tall man with slicked-back brown hair approached a teller and told the employee he had a gun and wanted “all the money,” authorities said.

After the teller handed the robber the cash, the man fled the bank and was last seen in front of the building on Los Angeles Avenue, police said.

FBI officials said they did not know if the robber was responsible for other bank robberies in the county.

The investigation by the FBI and the Simi Valley Police Department is continuing.
