How to Capitalize on Entrepreneurial Spirit

Share

Korean Americans run tens of thousands of small businesses in Orange County and throughout the Southland. But men dominate the scene, so the California American Woman’s Economic Development Corp. wants to encourage more Korean women to start their own businesses.

With a $10,000 grant from AT&T;, California AWED and the Korean American Assn. of Orange County are jointly presenting Korean-language entrepreneurial training sessions. The 10-session weekly classes are scheduled to begin next month in Garden Grove.

The course, which is also open to men, will be taught by business experts using curricula from the Harvard and Wharton schools of business. The fee is $240, but full or partial scholarships are available. Information: (714) 474-AWED.
