Man Stabbed to Death in Home
VAN NUYS —
A Van Nuys man was fatally stabbed early Saturday by two men who entered his home to rob him, police said.
Manuel Mendez, 49, was stabbed just after midnight during a struggle with the men, police said. The victim’s son, Juan Mendez, 20, was in the house in the 6400 block of Woodman Avenue at the time but was not hurt, police said. The attackers left without taking anything, police said.
Both suspects were still at large Saturday night.
