Parade Needs Theme, Marshal Suggestions
Wanted: Celebrity nominations and a suggested theme.
The city’s La Palma Days Parade Committee announced it is seeking nominations from residents for a grand marshal for the annual parade, to take place Nov. 9.
The committee also is seeking suggestions for honorary grand marshals and a possible parade theme.
“Nominations in the grand marshal class would include celebrities who have ties in and around La Palma,” said a spokesman for the committee. “Honorary grand marshals would include local residents who are noteworthy volunteers, those marking significant anniversaries or individuals or groups who are very special for one reason or another in and around the community.”
