Group W Starts Wisconsin Cable Network: Westinghouse Electric Corp.’s Group W Satellite Communications said the network will carry games of the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team and Milwaukee Bucks basketball team. Group W, whose parent company bought CBS Inc. last year for $5.4 billion, has the rights to the Brewers’ games for five years and to the Bucks’ games for several years, a spokeswoman said. The company plans to add other professional and college teams to the network, which will be carried by Time Warner Cable and Century Cable to 300,000 subscribers. The regional network is being handled by Group W Sports Marketing and Group W Network Services, part of Group W Satellite, which also operates a sports network in Baltimore called Home Team Sports. Shares of Pittsburgh-based Westinghouse fell 12.5 cents to $18.875 on the New York Stock Exchange.
