RESEDA — A driver and a passenger were critically injured Tuesday when they were ejected from a van that crashed into a stop sign, a light pole and a tree, police reported.
Rolando Osorio, 27, of Reseda and Adolfo Santos, 30, of Van Nuys were westbound on Victory Boulevard when the accident occurred about 12:45 a.m. at Zelzah Avenue, said Valley Traffic Division Officer Michael Murray.
Officers do not know who was at the wheel because both men were found outside the vehicle and neither was fully conscious.
Both were admitted to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Murray said.
Santos suffered multiple cuts and fractures, according to hospital spokeswoman Deborah Moore. Osorio’s condition was not known; he was transferred to another location.
