Insisting he’s not bitter about being “blackballed” from major league baseball, Darryl Strawberry said he looks forward to starting in right field for the independent St. Paul Saints.
“I believe major league baseball has blackballed me. I’m not bitter about it,” said Strawberry, 34, who has 297 major league home runs and 205 stolen bases. “I didn’t really know I was going to play baseball again. I had to gather my thoughts and realize that baseball is just one part of my life.”
