Times News Services
The New York Yankees continue to be snakebit at second base. With Pat Kelly (right shoulder tendinitis) out at least until mid-July and Tony Fernandez (right elbow surgery) probably out for the season, the Yankees face the possibility of losing Mariano Duncan, who strained a groin Saturday. They were to determine today whether Duncan will be put on the 15-day disabled list.
Duncan leads the American League with a .361 average, with eight doubles and 15 RBIs.
