VAN NUYS — A limousine driver was killed Saturday morning after losing control of his vehicle, which careened off the San Diego Freeway.
The accident occurred at about 8 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway just south of Roscoe Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Ken Lane. The 30-foot-long limousine spun out of control and went over the side of the freeway, he said. No other vehicles were involved.
The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Medical Center, Lane said.
CHP officers said they do not know what caused the accident. They refused to identify the victim until the family is notified.
