* Re the May 7 article “Venice High Wins National Science Competition”:

I was disappointed and surprised that you did not put this article on your cover. At a time when the Los Angeles Unified School District is under attack for its low academic success and achievements, and Venice High School is known only for its “gang” activity, this type of article warranted front-page status.
