Kids Start a Whale of a Summer Program
A 20-foot fiberglass whale named Moe B. Dunes and some environmentally minded third-graders will be on hand today to kick off a clean-beach campaign.
Students from Mariners Elementary will sign a 30-square-foot declaration pledging to keep the area beaches litter-free this summer and then, at 11 a.m., help launch Moe, the mascot for the Newport Dunes Resort.
